Queensland Infrastructure Upgrade

Between Tuesday 24th February 7:00 a.m. (AEST) and Saturday 28th February 7:00 p.m. (AEST) there will be a significant maintenance window taking place in the QCIF availability zone requiring a short shutdown of virtual machines as hypervisors are restarted.
This maintenance is part of our ongoing effort to improve the security, reliability, and performance of our services.
We recommend that you save your work in advance and prepare for a brief service interruption. In most cases, instances will be required to be shutdown for a short period within the maintenance window.
Users of impacted projects will receive an email with more detail prior to the event and another when maintenance impacting their instances is complete.
Upon completion of the upgrade across the zone, this notice will be updated.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to deliver a more secure and resilient infrastructure.

    All the Qld general compute hypervisors have now been upgraded and we are in a monitoring and review phase.

  • Started

    Scheduled outage started across QCIF Hypervisors. Virtual Machine managers will have received notification of the expected time window impacting their instances and while every effort is made to limit impact to that window we have had instances impacted outside this.
    Currently we are expecting to have the upgrades completed before the COB Friday 27th.
