A major network outage continues at Swinburne.
Your virtual machines are still online and accessible from the Internet. However, due to a failure of the internal network VMs are unable to contact Swinburne's DNS. If you are encountering issues with your virtual machine, as a workaround we suggest changing the DNS nameservers in use to public options, such as Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1). No new VMs can be started at present.
The University's Network Team has been spotted on site, presumably working on the issue.
This outage is affecting multiple services at the university, including the remote access VPN, DNS, NTP, and HPC services. Cause and timeframe for resolution are currently unknown.

A major network outage has occurred at Swinburne.
Currently, running virtual machines continue to be accessible via SSH. However applications running on VMs may not have full internet connectivity, and connection to other services inside Swinburne appears to be broken. Currently, it's not possible to start new VMs.
