Tuakiri (NZ) federated login unavailable

Since approximately 11:15 AEST on Tuesday 2 September, users logging in to the Nectar Research Cloud via the Tuakiri federation (New Zealand institutions) have been unable to authenticate. Affected users receive an error after selecting their institution on the login page.

The cause is invalid federation metadata currently published by the upstream Tuakiri metadata service, which our identity service cannot load. We have reported the issue to REANNZ/Tuakiri and are investigating an interim workaround on our side.

Logins via the Australian Access Federation (AAF), including ARDC and Australian institutional accounts, are not affected. Running workloads and existing sessions are unaffected.
